Florida “3 in 3” Behind-the-Wheel Training
Under Section 322.0261(1)(c), Florida Statutes, drivers who have been convicted of or plead no contest to three traffic offenses within 36 months where one offense resulted in a crash are required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) to complete additional driver improvement training.
This requirement is commonly referred to as the “3 in 3” program.
The program requires:
• A 4-hour FLHSMV-approved driver improvement course
• Behind-the-wheel driving instruction
• An assessment of the driver’s driving ability
Behind-the-Wheel Training
Good Mood Driving School provides the required behind-the-wheel instruction and driving ability assessment portion of the 3 in 3 requirement.
During this training, an instructor will evaluate the driver’s skills and provide coaching focused on:
• Safe decision making
• Defensive driving techniques
• Hazard awareness
• Correcting unsafe driving habits
The instructor will also complete the required driving ability assessment as part of the program.
Important
Drivers must complete the 4-hour driver improvement course through an approved provider before or in conjunction with the behind-the-wheel training.

Texting allows us to keep a written record of scheduling details and makes it easy for all instructors to stay updated while they are teaching students throughout the day.
