2 - Preparing for the Road (Instructor Training)

The objective of this class is to teach Instructors how to properly set up their vehicle, understand essential dashboard controls, and complete necessary safety checks before driving. By ensuring their car is correctly adjusted, well-maintained, and legally registered, instructors can teach students to drive with greater comfort, safety, and confidence. By the end of this class, students will be able to: ✅ Adjust their seat, mirrors, and steering wheel properly – Learn how to position themselves for maximum comfort, visibility, and control while reducing fatigue. ✅ Understand dashboard indicators and controls – Recognize important warning lights such as check engine, oil pressure, battery, and brake system alerts, as well as operate essential controls like headlights, windshield wipers, and climate control. ✅ Perform a pre-drive safety checklist – Check for proper tire pressure, fluid levels (oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid), and functioning lights before starting a trip. ✅ Know the vehicle registration and insurance requirements in Florida – Understand the legal requirements for vehicle registration, insurance coverage (PIP & PDL), and carrying proof of insurance while driving. This class ensures that Instructors develop good habits for vehicle setup, safety checks, and legal compliance, helping them avoid mechanical issues, fines, and potential accidents. 🚗✅🛠
